You can’t really moralize anyone’s fetish, but I think it’s weird to pretend to be nazi or a racist for sexual thrills. Seldom do fetish skins pretend to be trad or SHARP.

Like I said, anyone can be a skinhead!
Just because someone is LGBTQQ doesn’t mean they can’t be a skin. There’s no straight requirement :) Go for it! I hope that others are equally as open, and that they don’t assume someone is a fetish skin off the bat or give hassles.

Sorry if this is a shallow answer, I just did not want to have to retype my version of the skinhead history because it’s a popular question on this tumblr. I think I should make a FAQ page now haha. not for true skinheads. there are a lot of idiots running around in the world doing the whole white pride world wide garbage, but they aren’t really skinheads. racism is only connected to the skinhead culture because of the stigma a lot of manipulative people in the English government created and spread.

No real skinheads are not hateful or racist. The culture was hijacked by the BNP/NF in the late 70s and 80s and the name of skinheads has been tarnished ever since. You were right, only those full of hate (the BNP) made skinheads out to be racist bigots. But to me and a lot of other traditional skinheads, there is no such thing as a racist skinhead. I’ll repeat, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A RACIST SKINHEAD. Those who claim to be racist and a skinhead are BONEHEADS. The Original culture, the non-racist culture was about pride, respect, honor, enjoying reggae/ska music, dressing nicely, enjoying yourself and working hard. Not one of those things included having white pride and today it STILL does not include white pride or nationalism of any kind. I hope I kind of answered your question, but if not you can always check the archives of this blog or use good ol google and look up traditional/apolitical skinheads and you will find what you are looking for.

Well, I am not a big critic on how skinhead girl hair is “supposed” to look. Girls are allowed to their femininity and beauty and I don’t think that should be limited to one exact style, even if they are skins. I have friends who don’t have the “signature” chelsea and I don’t have it either. As a matter of fact, I change my hair often between wearing my chelsea and getting full extensions (I’m trying to grow out my fringe more). I used to be caught up around it, and now not so much. I believe that it’s more about how the person is on the inside that makes them a byrd, not what’s on the outside. People in the scene can get so caught up between the authenticity of someone because of their hair or clothes. It’s a shaaaame.
